Krishna Akhil Kumar Adavi

  • Hi! I am Akhil, an information studies researcher and a PhD candidate at the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin. I am advised by Dr. Amelia Acker.

    I am interested in understanding how digital platforms impact the way people access, create, and share information? I study people’s information practices at the intersection of digital platforms and information communication technologies like mobile phones and apps, social media, gig work, and entrepreneurship.

    💡I am on the academic job market for 2025-2026. I am especially interested in tenure-track positions at Schools of Information in North America.
